This session provides an overview of the research-based Kolbe © indexes through discussion and hands-on activities. Understanding and leveraging individual strengths can not only improve hiring practices but also increase the effectiveness of individual employees and teams. Learn how understanding employees' natural instincts can lead to better collaboration, productivity, employee engagement and retention. 

Dr. Shelly Martin is Associate Professor in the Department of Teaching and Leadership at Pittsburg State University.  Prior to moving to PSU, Dr. Martin served as the Superintendent of the Parsons School District (USD #503 for four years. Dr. Martin spent thirty years in the Wichita Public School District, serving in many different roles, including elementary teacher, elementary principal, middle school principal, and Personnel Director). She is a Kolbe Certified Consultant, a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources through both the Human Resource Certification Institute (H.R.C.I.) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
